How Hydro Flushing Works

Hydro flushing uses high-pressure water jets to break up clogs, clear buildup, and restore full flow capacity to pipelines. The bullet-shaped jet head sprays penetrating jets forward while backward-facing jets propel the head through the pipe, effectively removing debris and flushing it out.

For tougher blockages like tree roots, we use rotating jet heads equipped with high-speed cutting chains. These jet heads slice through roots, dislodging them from the pipe walls before the water jets blast them away.

What Types of Pipelines Can Be Cleaned with Hydro Flushing?

Our hydro flushing services are ideal for:

  • Sewer Lines – Removes grease, sludge, and buildup
  • Storm Drains – Clears sediment and debris to prevent flooding
  • Industrial Pipelines – Cleans processing lines in manufacturing and ag industries
  • Large-Diameter Drainage Systems – Maintains optimal flow capacity

Hydro Flushing versus Traditional Pipe Cleaning

Unlike mechanical cleaning methods, which can damage pipes, hydro flushing is:

  • Non-Destructive – Uses only high-pressure water, avoiding harsh chemicals or mechanical scraping
  • More Effective – Clears entire pipe interiors, not just localized blockages
  • Eco-Friendly – No harmful residues, only clean water

Hydro Flushing FAQ

  • What types of pipelines can be cleaned with hydro flushing?

Hydro flushing is ideal for cleaning sewer lines, storm drains, industrial pipelines, and large-diameter pipes.

  • How does hydro flushing compare to traditional pipe cleaning methods?

Unlike mechanical methods, hydro flushing uses high-pressure water to clear blockages without damaging pipes.

  • Can hydro flushing help with recurring blockages?

Yes, hydro flushing removes built-up debris,  grease and mineral deposits, reducing the likelihood of recurring clogs.

  • Is hydro flushing safe for older pipes?

Yes, hydro flushing is safe for most pipes, but we alays assess older systems to ensure they can withstand the pressure.

  • How often should hydro flushing be performed for maintenance?

For preventative maintenance, hydro flushing should be performed every 1-3 years, depending on pipe usage and blockage history.
